Maybe around 1950, close anyway, Mouse bought a house on Harmony Ave, I think it cost $3000.00 It had two acres, about a hundred peach trees, plenty of white sand and a pretty decent out house. Well it was really a garage, but the previous owner had covered over the garage door with cinder block and put in a couple of partitons so it had a small kitchen maybe 15 by 8 foot, and two smaller bedrooms. Herb spent the next 40 years working on it. It was really the best of times, Herb and Mary's friends and family came and went, crowded around a little space heater in the winter, Marys coffee pot never had a chance to cool down, and god knows how often she stretched a meal for her company. The little kitchen was filled with laughter and friendship and love we are all so very lucky to have known Herb and Mary and called them our friends.
