Florence Ann Tortora, 85, of Shady Oaks, Middletown Township, passed away on Saturday , August 6th, 2011 at jersey Shore University medical Center. Mrs. Tortora was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived in Holmdel before moving to Middletown 16 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Catharines Church in Holmdel and a member of the Holmdel Half Century Club. Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Surviving are her husband Carl, and four daughters Mary Jane Julia and her husband Tom. Barbara Wiseman, Carol Poster and her husband Gerard, and Jean Callandra and her husband Paul, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her six brothers and her four sisters. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Funeral mass will be offered at 9:00AM on Tuesday at St. Catharines R.C.Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will then follow at St. Gabriels Cemetery Mausoleum, Marlboro.
