Obituary of Michael J. Gill

Michael J. Gill, 75 of Holmdel passed away Thursday August 27th at Riverview Medical Center; with his beloved wife Dorothy of 42 years by his side. Mr. Gill was born in Newark, NJ and served in the National Guard. Prior to retirement he was the owner of M & R Mechanical Contractors, Highlands. Mr. Gill was a communicant of the Church of St. Catharine, Holmdel. Mr. Gill loved walking on the boardwalk and taking long drives to New Hope with his wife, Dorothy. He enjoyed watching polo matches and visiting family on Long Island. Mr. Gill was an avid jogger and NY Jet's fan. Mr. Gill was predeceased by his parents Richard and Mary Gill, brother Richard Gill and a sister Genevieve Mulligan. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy; brother and sister-in-law James & Josephine Gill, of Hazlet, sister Maureen Joy and her husband Morton 'Bud' Joy, brother-in-laws Bill Mulligan and Walter Sherrin, and many cousins, nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Monday August 31st 4 -7 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, September 1st at 9:15am at the Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY.
