II served will Bill for 20 years as his commander and friend, he will be missed by me and my wife as he also married us. Your dad did great things in his life in the NJARNG, to include his support during 911 not only to the soldiers and airman, but to the folks that had the grim task of searching the ruble for remains. He will always remain in my heart and he is now in a better place with the Lord. I am very sorry that I could not make it to the viewing or funeral services as I am currently working out of state.

He was a wonderful person. Leading the Youth Group at St. Matthews and a good friend to my son Sean who died in 1985. He said a wonderful eulogy and made our grief a little easier. God bless him and your family.

For the family: Bill was my priest classmate (ordained in 1975) from the Major Seminary, then at Darlington in North Jersey. He was one of the few guys in those days who had a car and was always ready for a road trip... and the freedom it gave us! We will remember Bill and all of you at our weekend Masses.

Dear Pete and Family, I am heartbroken over the loss of Brother Bill. He was a Big Brother for all of us growing up. He never judged us in all that we did. I just remember his kind eyes giving us a look reminding us to do the right thing. Send our love to the whole family. I'll be there for you on Thursday. With Love and Synpathy, Mitch Cohen
