Obituary of William Bocra
William “Billy” Bocra passed away on October 27, 2016, he was 75. His loving wife of 44 years, Lucille, and their three children, Nicole, Gia, and William, Jr. were by his side. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he was raised in nearby Woodbridge, and graduated from Metuchen High School. Billy was son of John and Mary Bocra and the eldest of seven siblings. He was a welder by trade, a proud union contractor, and a successful businessman. A Freemason and United States Marine, Billy forever appreciated the opportunities afforded to him. An avid sports fan and team dad, he was often found at his children’s games, camcorder in hand; he was their biggest fan. Upon retirement, Billy transitioned into the life of a grandfather. He shined. The fire that once drove him in business, transferred into love for his six grandchildren. Those who survive him will be forever marked with Billy’s indelible sense of generosity, humor, irascibility, devotion to family, and indisputable tenacity. Visitation will be held at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel NJ on Friday, October 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., and on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. A funeral service will be offered at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M.
