I first met Mike years ago in Ireland but, while living in Canada, saw him more often in trips South to the NJ & VA Lynch homes. While Bill passed away in that time, happier memories include Lauren & Mike competing in motor races on Pat’s games console, visiting Esther’s aerodrome with him, Thanksgiving together etc. When we last saw Mike for Seamus’ birthday in VA in 2009, days before moving back to Europe, he looked forward to hitting the road again on his Harley when well; sadly, that wasn’t to be but I bet he’s now on another Harley, cruisin’ along that great highway in the sky. So, during Mike’s funeral, here in Dublin I will play the biker’s anthem “Born To Be Wild”, to his memory. Mike, it was a privilege to know you, Rest In Peace alongside your parents, Trudy and Bill – but no goodbyes because you remain close in our thoughts and memories. To Tim, Pat, Seamus, Anne and Audrey, and all grieving for Mike; we’re also thinking of you at this difficult time.

I moved to Holmdel in 1971 and the first person I met was Mike playing basketball in his driveway. His Mom made us Ice Tea and he introduced me to Grandview Drive and all of the kids. I have not seen Mike in over 30 years but I will always remember a kind person. God Bless you Michael- Rest in Peace

We often don't know as we go in and out of others lives how those moments affect people. Michael's presence in my life holds a significant place. It was Michael who encouraged a shy young girl (18 years ago) to get up the nerve to cut in on a couple dancing. That moment began a 17-year relationship that I will forever be grateful for. Although that relationship ran its course, it brought me such joy and my two stepchildren that mean the world to me. Once again, it was Michael that brought love back into my life. A mutual friend from 20 year ago called me to let me know of Michael’s struggle with cancer and from that phone call we reconnected and fell in love. I don’t know if Michael knew of his effect on my life, but I will be forever grateful for the gift of his friendship and the impact it has had. I love you Michael. I know you are finally at peace. Bob and I will cherish you in our life together forever. Thank you for your gift.

Michael, You are the bravest and most unselfish man I know. I will hold many memories of you close to my heart forever. Everyday, I will think of you and I will be able to smile. Our heart to heart conversations were many. I keep in mind the day we went to see the tree at rockerfeller center. The snow came sparkling down as we approached it. We both looked at each other in disbelief, it was absolutely beautiful, just like you Micheal. I am blessed to have had you as my cousin but more important my forever friend. I will open my mind to see so I don't have to rely on open eyes to see. Until we meet again, I love you more Michael...Much Love Nancy

I have fond memories of Michael during our years of attending Holmdel High School together. I was thrilled that he decided to attend our 30 year reunion this past June. I am so happy that he had a good time. He was a courageous guy and he will be missed.
