Obituary of Alphonse T. Amore
A Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather Alphonse T. Amore, 88, has joined his beloved wife Mary Ann in Heaven. Born in Newark, Alphonse was raised in Nutley, moving to Colts Neck in 1965. Mr. Amore started his career in culinary arts which led to a career in corporate food Management. He then fulfilled his dream of owning his own restaurant. Mr. Amore was a Veteran of the United States navy attached to the 3rd Marine Division of World War ii serving in the South pacific. Alphonse was also a member of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, the VFW, and American Legion. Mr. Amore was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Ann Amore ( nee Bunalski) and his brother Nicholas Amore, 4 sisters Mary Cardinale, Margaret Singer, Ida Minco and Jean Philip. Surviving are his son Robert Amore and his wife Debbie, daughter Cynthia Amore, step daughter Marion Levesque, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM only at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday 9:00AM at St. Mary's R.C.Church, Colts Neck. Entombment will be in St. Gabriels Cemetery Mausoleum, Marlboro.
