Obituary of Oluf Olsen
OLUF OLSEN, 91, of Holmdel passed away on Tuesday, at his home. Born in Hellerup, Denmark, Mr. Olsen lived in Cranford for 51 years before he and his wife moved to their daughter's family's home. Mr. Olsen served with the Danish Royal Navy during World War II. He was a professional engineer and spent the majority of his career with John Dusenbury and Company, in Clifton, N.J. He was a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, I.E.E.E., the Danish Brotherhood, the North Jersey Rose Society, and the Watchung Power Squadron. Mr. Olsen is survived by his wife, Sophia (nee Dzurec) Olsen, his daughters Linda Olsen Shirvanian and her husband Robert Shirvanian Jr. of Holmdel, N.J., and Jean Olsen Beaudette and her husband Randall Beaudette of Ioxina, Wisconsin, four grandchildren Alexandra Shirvanian, Erik Shirvanian, Andrew Beaudette and Elizabeth Beaudette, a sister Alice Wilkins in Denmark, and a brother Dan Dupont Olsen of Vancouver, Canada.
