ROSE GERE HERTEL, 69, of Lincroft, passed away on Saturday, January 16th, 2010 at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Hertel lived in Carteret , where she raised her family, for many years. She retired from the C.B.W Elementary School in Bayville. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter R. Hertel, by her son Peter J., by her daughter Madelyn, by her father Herbert Gere, and by a brother Arthur Gere. She is survived by her daughter Andrea Mauro and her husband William of Lincroft, by her mother Madeleine Lundquist, her sister Marilyn Novella, her three grandchildren Christine Luisi, and Alexa and Matthew Mauro, and by her great grandson Steven Pavao.
