Dearest Uncle, There is not enough space here to express how I feel. A week ago I asked you to be my "Special Angel" and you smiled. Now that you are in heaven I have already experienced your blessing a few times. Keep them coming we need them so badly. My heart is broken but I am happy as well knowing you are at peace and there is no more pain. I know will be visiting not only family but Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. This makes me happiest of all. We were touched by all the responses of Mayor Larry visiting all of you and speaking about the family. On hehalf of the entire family and Larry we thank all of the special individuals in NLDC for taking care of Larry when we could not be there. This was the hardest part of this experience for the family. Not only will we miss Larry, but we will also miss all of you. Niece Francine

My dearest special brother: You are so missed already. At least now, you are no longer in pain - we are. AS the mayor of New Lisbon, your many, many friends are acknowleding you for your loving and endearing ways. Our family cannot praise your "other family" at New Lisbon enough for their care. The doctors and nurses, your caretakers at Quince, Birch, etc. I cannot mention names for fear of neglecting someone, but you all know who you are, as seen in the guestbook. We will always love you and miss you,but we know you are up there with mom and dad, looking down at us and singing. Love always, Don & Marion

Dearest Brother, For 69 years you were part of our life and because of you, our family learned the meaning of unconditional love and compassion- you taught us all! I will always treasure the happy times when you came home in the earlier years and when we visited you - how you waited for us knowing the make and model of the family cars. The times we went to lunch and shopping of course for CD's, mugs, a wallet and watch. We couldn't be there all the time but the wonderful staff cared for you on a daily basis. And, boy all your friends you called "my girl" You never complained of pain, even your doctors said you were "stoic" You are our "special brother" and now our "special angel" in heaven. Rest in peace Larry, your pain and suffering is over and you are "safely home" My heart is heavy with pain knowing I won"t see you again, but you will always be in my heart. Sister Jo

Larry, I, like many of your friends here at New Lisbon, will truly miss you. May you have comfort and peace as you start a new journey. Larry allowed me to affectionately call him "Pizza man". This was because Larry always smiled whenever we sang "That's amore" by Dean Martin. From Larry's Quince family to his family, our condolences and "amore"!

Larry had a smile that would melt my heart. Because of that smile, he would single handedly empty our supply of travel coffee mugs. No matter how big we would write his name on the mugs he would come back a week later, flash me one of those huge smiles and shake his head. I gave in every time! Even to the point of bringing in some from home so I would be ready for Larry's next visit. Larry would wear his emotions on his sleeve. I witnessed him tear up a thousand times but it was always because he was happy. Whether it was giving him something, playing Connect Four, enjoying himself at an event or talking about his sisters, Larry would smile and tear up. Larry was full of love and joy. He will be deeply missed not just by me but by all that truly knew him. My sincerest condolences to his family and to his friends at New Lisbon.

Dear Lawrence, As everyone has said there will always be fond memories of what a special person you were and your love for listening to your music, especially Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin but we will also always remember & cherish the Christmas Eve's at our house when you would look out the window with our children Gregory & Michele and Donna too, to watch for Santa Claus to come up on our roof. It gave us great joy to see how excited you got. You will be missed but we know you're happy up there with your Mom and Dad. All Our Love, Anthony & Joyce

Dear Uncle Larry, Who knew your full name was "Lorenzo"? Sounds like a movie star! It's so sad that you're no longer with us, but we know you're in a better place. As my mom said, make sure you say "hello" to everyone for us, put a good word in "up there", and eat as much of that "pie in the sky" as you want! Hugs and kisses, we love you and we will miss you very much!!
