Obituary of Dorothy Fiorillo
Dorothy Fiorillo, a longtime resident of Aberdeen, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel after a long illness. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Fiorillo was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1927 to Clarence and Nora Gomes. As a young professional woman, she worked at the New York Cotton Exchange where she met her husband, Dominick Fiorillo. They married in 1952. She spent 20 years raising a family before returning to work in the insurance industry. She retired in 1989 and spent her senior years travelling and spending time at the Keyport Senior Center with her husband. She is survived by her son, John and his wife Diane; her 2 daughters, Barbara Elieff and her husband Jim and Elizabeth Mauro and her husband Sam; twin grandchildren, Nadia and Ian Elieff, her sister Barbara Rocco and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 16 and from 9 a.m. Wednesday, August 17 until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
