Valerie DeClemente, 76, of Colts Neck passed away at her home on Monday evening, October 19, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. she lived in Colts Neck for over 40 years. She was a member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church, and was a graduate of Endicott College, Beverly, Mass. Prior to her retirement Valerie was a buyer for the Mercantile Company, in New York City for many years, buying fine leather goods. She was also a member of the N.J. Chapterof HSEAD – the Historical Society of Early American Decoration. Valerie was predeceased by her husband William DeClemente in 2007. She is survived by cousins Elizabeth Ulshafer and Robert Rau. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J. on Wednesday October 21st from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be offered at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 County Road 537, Colts Neck, N.J. on Thursday October 22nd at 12:00 Noon. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
