Ben was loved by many and had such a positive outlook on life that he was an inspiration to all who knew him. He overcame many health issues in his later years to always be there as primary caretaker for his wife and to always support and love his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a builder of dollhouses for the little girls in his life and barns and lighthouses for the little boys. He delighted in all things around him and genuinely appreciated the phone calls and visits he received from his family and friends. He always said he wanted to have a big party on his 100th birthday.
