Veronica Ronan, 48, passed away on Sunday, September 13th, after a long and courageous battle. Born in Jersey City, N.J., Veronica lived in Holmdel. She was a parishioner of Holy Family R.C.Church in Union Beach. Veronica was an Attorney, and was also the foundress of the B.R.A.I.N. Foundation , a non profit organization created for the sole purpose of raising money to fund medical research that results in more effective treatments for and ultimately a cure for brain tumors. Veronica was predeceased by her father, John Ronan. She is survived by her husband Tom Woodmaska, her mother Kathleen Waters Ronan, Eileen and Kenneth McGurk, Neil and Linda Ronan, John and Deborah Ronan, Kathleen and Girard Kelly, and John, Thomas, Christina, Jane, William, and Lauren her loving nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, there will not be a visitation at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday 11:00AM at the Holy Family R.C. Church, 727 Route 36 Highway 36 in Union Beach, NJ. Interment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery in Holmdel. The family requests that no flowers be sent to them, to the Funeral Home, or to the Church – they will not be accepted. In place of any flowers whatsoever, donations can be made to the B.R.A.I.N.
