Mr. John A. Ward, 88, of Freehold passed away on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 in Freehold, N.J. Born in Rahway, he lived in Holmdel for many years, before moving to Bayville and then to Applewood in Freehold. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S.Army. He was a graduate of Lehigh University, where he earned a Bachelor degree in Marketing. John was a member of SCORE in Ocean County. He is survived by his loving wife Doris, son Robert A. Ward and his wife Jessica, daughter Nancy L. Hamilton, and grandchildren Samantha Nicole Hamilton, Alexander Ward Hamilton, John Salvatore Ward, and Jason Paul Ward. A Service will be offered on Thursday November 5th at 12 Noon at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 – Holmdel Road, Holmdel, where entombment will take place. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Applewood Resident Assistance Fund, 1 Applewood Drive, Freehold, N.J. 07728 in his memory would be appreciated.
