Christopher (Uncle Chris) LaSalle, 55, Colts Neck, passed away September 18th as a result of a tragic accident. Chris was born in Manhattan and was raised in Staten Island. He lived there until moving to Colts Neck 20 years ago. Retiring in 2014, Chris was a Special Education Teacher for PS 37 in Staten Island after a 35 year teaching career. He was a parishioner and active member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Colts Neck. Chris will be remembered for his unconditional love and care that he gave to everyone that knew him. Chris was predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Michael LaSalle and his sister, Kathy Russo. Surviving is his beloved brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Lois LaSalle, Colts Neck; his loving nieces and nephews, Michael Russo, Dr. Michael LaSalle, Jeneen LoNano, Robert LaSalle and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22nd from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 23rd at 10:30 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Colts Neck. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.
