This is such a huge and sad loss. Dr. Layman was my dentist, and we always laughed a lot during appointments. He would share very loving and funny stories about his family and I know he was so proud of his children. It really breaks my heart; I can't even begin to grasp why the world lost him so soon. All condolences to his family. Please know that going to see him for a "dental visit" was always more like going to visit a fun and kind friend.

To the Layman family We are very saddened on the sudden passing of Dr. Layman and would like to send our warmest thoughts and prayers. We have been patients for over a decade to the best dentist I ever had. Over those years Jim became more then a dentist to me. I am disabled and life isnt always easy for me but I knew if I was seeing Jim that day it was going to be a good one. He had a way of always picking up your spirits with his keen wit, sense of humor and great conversation. He will be missed very much in our lives.

I am so shocked to hear about Jimmy's death. I am his Aunt Angela and remember the adorable little boy with the curly hair and blue eyes. I remember when he sported an earring and helped me put in my earrings, which I got in middle age. Even though I was divorced from his uncle Bill he continued to be part of my family.
