Susan E. McLynch, 95, of Holmdel passed away Tuesday April 19, 2011 at the Willows at Holmdel. Mrs. McLynch was born in the Bronx, and previously resided in Brooklyn and Staten Island. She was pre-deceased by her husband Thomas McLynch, her parents Henry and Margaret Eyre, and her brother Harold Eyre. After graduating from Misercordia Hospital, Mrs. McLynch was a registered nurse with a passion for helping people, first at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in NYC, and later at the Arthur Kill Rehabilitation Center / Minimum Security Prison in Staten Island. Surviving are her son Paul McLynch and wife Patricia, and daughter Patricia Steed and husband John, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Rd, Holmdel. A Mass will be offered Thursday 9:00 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Colts Neck. Internment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Staten Island NY. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Mary's Social Concerns Fund, 1 Phalanx Rd, Colts Neck, NJ 07722.
