Josephine Altomare 70, of the Shady Oaks Section of Middletown passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Nyack, NY Josephine lived in East Hanover, NJ prior to moving to Middletown 10 years ago. Mrs Altomare was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great R.C. Church, Lincroft, NJ Josephine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Mrs. Altomare was predeceased by her parents Frank and Michela Bifulco, and her sister Utilia Nardone. Surviving is her husband John, son Leonard and his wife Susan, of Oceanport, NJ, three daughters RoseAnn Gaudio and her husband Paul, of Lincroft, NJ, Grace O'Deven and her husband Joseph, of Auburn Hills, MI, and Frances Altomare, of Lincroft, NJ, and 6 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday 10:30AM at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church.
