BRUCE T. SMITH, 58, of HOLMDEL passed away on Monday evening, August 24th surrounded by his family. Born in Passaic, Mr. Smith spent most of his life in New Jersey, settling in Holmdel over 19 years ago. With an extensive knowledge of automobiles, he was employed in the car business his entire life. With a commitment of caring for others, he volunteered and served on the Holmdel First Aid Squad. Surviving are his loving wife Nancy (nee Gilmore) his son Michael of Aberdeen, his mother Helen Smith, his four brothers Gary, Alan, Kenneth, and Brian, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 - South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Monday August 31st from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass will be offered at St. Benedicts R.C.Church , Holmdel on Tuesday Sept. 1st, at 10:00AM. We will miss his infectious smile, his laughter, and his quick wit!
