GAHLER, 81, of FREEHOLD, passed away on Monday at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Neptune, Mrs. Gahler lived in Colts Neck for many years before moving to Freehold. Prior to her retirement in 2000, she was a School Nurse, employed by the Colts Neck Board of Education for 30 years. She was also employed at the Holmdel Convalescent Center and the Holmdel Nursing Home. She was an animal lover, and had participated in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, winning 2nd place in Dachshund Best of Breed. Mrs. Gahler was predeceased by her husband John W. Gahler in 1978. She is survived by her sons John C. Gahler and his wife Gale of Upper Freehold Twp., and James Gahler of Holmdel and his girlfriend Ann Mancuso of Tinton Falls, her grandchildren John and Laurin, and one great grandson
