Elizabeth Gibbons, 92, of Middletown passed away peacefully at Brighton Gardens in Middletown on Sunday, January 14th, 2018. Born in Newark, NJ she lived in Brick for many years before settling in Middletown. Prior to her retirement, Elizabeth was a Teacher and Speech Therapist in the Newark Public School system, Newark, NJ. She loved travelling, especially to other countries around the world. She was predeceased by her parents, and then by her niece Catherine M. Larsen in 2015. She is survived by her sister Margaret and her husband Lyle Larsen of Holmdel, a nephew Robert L. Larsen and his wife Mary of Iowa, and a niece Lauren Naziagian and her husband Paul of Forest, VA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18th from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:15 AM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. The interment will follow immediately at the Fairmount Cemetery, in Newark, NJ.
