Obituary of Helen T. Zigich
Helen T. Zigich, 84 of Middletown, died on Friday, January 5th at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
Helen was born and raised in Newark and moved to Middletown in 1965. She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s RC Church, Keansburg. Helen was an avid fan of the New York Mets. She enjoyed bowling and playing in many leagues until 2 years ago. She was a member of the Red Hats, Twin Mother’s Club, Middletown. She and her husband George served on the Board of the Blue Jean Athletic Club, Keansburg. Helen loved to knit and crochet, she would make sweaters and blankets for her family. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, her children when she was 80, took her to Ireland on vacation.
Helen was a Surgical Technician at Riverview Medical Center, for many years.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helen was blessed by the great legacy she and her beloved husband of 60 years had.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, George in 2011.
Surviving are her children, Linda and Vinnie Dumchus, Keyport, Carol and Len De Pinto, Leonardo, Mick and Joan Zigich, Maryland, Ed and Deb Zigich, Keansburg, Gary Zigich and Carmen, Keansburg, Roseanne and John Cittadino, Middletown and Ellen Taddeo, Hazlet; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Fri. Jan. 12th, 2-4 and 7-9 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, Sat. Jan. 13th, 10 am, St. Ann’s RC Church, 311 Carr Ave., Keansburg.
