Mary Chersevani, 92, Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Wednesday September 20th at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Mary was born in Sicily, Italy. She immigrated to Brooklyn in 1938 and then moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1986. Mary owned and operated Eduardo’s Italian Restaurant, Brooklyn. Mary was family orientated and loved cooking for her family, though she never shared a recipe. Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward, in 2011 and her daughter-in-law, Marie in 2000. Surviving are her sons & daughter-in-law, Anthony Chersevani, Jackson; Mark Chersevani & his wife Diane, Colts Neck; 5 grandchildren Edward Chersevani , Anthony Chersevani & his wife Robyn, Deborah Volaro & her husband Robert, Kim Thompson & her husband Brad and Mark Chersevani; 9 great grandchildren, Jessica, Eddie, Anthony, Samantha, Gianna, Mason, Luke, Amelia & Olivia and 1 great great granddaughter Kaylee. Visitation Thursday September 21st 7-9 pm and Friday September 22nd 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 23rd 10:00 am at St. Gabriel’s RC Church, 100 Main Street, Marlboro. Entombment Mt. Olivet Mausoleum, Middletown.
