Donata Schroeder, 78, of Middletown passed away on Tuesday July 25th, 2017 at the Bayshore Care Center in Holmdel. Born in the Philippines, Donata came to the United States and studied at the University of Bridgeport, in Connecticut where she earned a Masters Degree in Education. She was a Teacher and reading specialist in elementary education at the Perth Amboy Public Schoolsfor 45 years. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of St. Catharines parish in Holmdel, where she attended daily Mass and was a CCD teacher as well. She was predeceased by several of her siblings. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband John Schroeder, a son Kyle Schroeder and his companion Yasmin Russell of Michigan, grandchildren Arthur, Ava, and Christopher Russell of Michigan, her sisters Renelia Palileo of New Castle, DE. And Lucy Empleo and her husband of the Philippines, and by a large extended family. Visitation will be on Friday, July 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday July 29th at 9:15 AM at St. Catharines R.C.Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel.
