Obituary of Edward W. Schetelich
Edward Schetelich, 88 of Aberdeen passed away on Saturday, July 8th, 2017
Edward was born in Newark, and moved to Aberdeen in 1962 where he lived for over 50 years.
He worked at National Newark and Essex Bank now PNC bank, where he met his wife of over 65 years, Dolores. Edward was a parishioner of St. Benedict’s Church in Holmdel.
Edward was generous man and a very good handyman. He enjoyed carpentry and made tables, chairs, and toys for his grandchildren. He particularly enjoyed family trips to ski in Vermont and down the Jersey shore to Lavallette. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Edward is predeceased by his parents, Edward Vincent Schetelich and Victoria Schetelich.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Schetelich; his children, Gary Schetelich and his wife Kris, Holmdel, Cathy Gitto and her husband, Salvatore, Monroe Twp., Glen Schetelich and his wife Christine, Cranford, Beth Silva and her husband, Joseph, Neptune; his grandchildren, Cristina, Matthew, Paul, Michele, Luke, Victoria, Emily, Megan, Gus and John; and great-grandson, Marco
Visitation will be Friday July 14th, 8:30 am - 9:45 am at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road. Mass of the Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 am at St. Benedict’s R.C.
