Ken Lilley posted a condolence

Ken Lilley I met the Buckleys in the late 70's about the time Danielle was born. Over the years, my name was written on the wall of the barn-symbolic of Connie and Jim's extended family-and to this day I think of them as my "shore parents". Many a cup of coffee with Connie in the kitchen and much reflection and advice about work and life. Connie knew how to roll. I don't think she was aware of the impact she had on my life at the time. Grief never ends....but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith........it is the price of love. Author Unknown

I am so sorry for your loss but so grateful for all the memories I have around your mother. Christmas was not real until we had made it your house and chose, or rather, were directed to our tree. I have the Christmas photo album here in Texas. Connie continued to make Christmas special to me even after we lost Santa. Thank you for sharing her with us. God Bless you all and RIP Connie. My condolences to the Buckley Family. Connie was one in a million. A spontaneous sense of humor and so young at heart. May you forever be at peace

Dear Petie, Jim Joe, Debbie, George & Families, We were very saddened to hear of Connie's passing. She had touched countless lives of many people. Through your many loving memories of Connie, she will always be with all of you. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and please know that Connie will never be forgotten. With all of our love, Darlene, Brian & Vicky My Special Tribute to Connie - SHE WAS MY MENTOR! During my childhood summers, I had spent a lot of time at Connie's home. Her daughter, "Petie" (Patricia), and I were and still are very close. Connie would always make sure that we had a lot of fun. During those times, I had always taken notice of Connie's interactions with so many different people. I had greatly admired her wonderful personality traits. She was always in command of any given situation on a personal or professional basis. She had such a great impact on my life and truly became my mentor. I can honestly say that because of Connie, I had started my second career and finally fulfilled my childhood dream by becoming a funeral director. Through my many wonderful memories of Connie, she will always be close to my heart! With all my love, Darlene
