Obituary of Seroun Mei Mei Wang
Seroun Mei Mei Wang, 68, of Chevy Chase, MD, died of natural causes on Monday, June 26, 2017 in Charlottesville, VA.
She was born in New York, New York and grew up in Mineola, New York. She graduated from Boston University and George Mason University.
As a young mother, she resided in Cambridge, MA and Lincroft, NJ. She moved to Chevy Chase, MD in 1981 and resided there ever since. Seroun worked over the years, as a French teacher, later in the pharmaceutical and medical field, and ultimately spent most of her career teaching English as a Second Language to elementary, high school and adult education students in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Surviving are her daughters and their husbands Mariam Manichaikul and her husband Andrew Beshara and Ani Manichaikul and her husband Weimin Chen, grandchildren Raffi, Zoe, Daron and Van Chen, Aunt Chao Chi of Beijing, Uncle Fu Ming Gong, cousins in Granada, Lyon, Beijing, and Chengdu, and her loving dog and constant companion, Punky. Seroun was preceded in death by her parents, Chao Chen Wang and Seroon Hachadourian Wang.
Visitation will be Monday, July 3, 2017 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at noon at St. Stepanos Armenian Church, 1184 Ocean Ave., Elberon, NJ.
