Dear Grace and the entire Capanelli Family: So saddened to hear today of Big Bob's passing . For about a dozen years he was one of my closest friends. Bob, Howard, Bill, and I spent many weeks in FL playing golf each winters. Usually the world's greatest sandbagger took us all for a few bucks:-). He was one of the kindest, nicest, most loyal people I and my wife, Lorie, ever met. R.I.P. Paul Mallon

My sincerest condolences to you Grace. So sorry for your loss. I know the past few years have been tough on you but you continued to care for Bob as only a nurse could do. You stood by him through so many years of sickness. I admire you for your loyalty. May god grant you serenity through this sorrowful time. I am here for you always.

My heartfelt Condolences to Bobs children Karen and Robert, and his three grandsons. The loss of your parent/grandparent is never easy but it is the beautiful memories that you'll have made with each other all should hold close, until you all meet again. I had the opportunity to meet your father through Grace, 18 years ago and throughout the years we had some great times., even when he became ill we would go to their home and I will always remember his quick wit, and roaring laugh- even when not feeling well. Grace our thoughts are with you, the loss of Bob must leave your heart heavy. Spending close to two decades together you have many memories and thats what you need to cling to. Your love for Bob was truly amazing and evident in the care and treatment we saw you give to him for the last several years. Bless you. Families may never always see eye to eye- but its on these occasions that we should all realize that life is fleeting. In a blink of an eye it is over. So again may the life Bob lived be a testament to love each other and hold on to the good in our lives. God Bless you all Carole and Dave Tolentino

I happen to have the best memories of Cousin Bob than most. You see before there was Karen and Robert I was Cousin Ann and Bob's number one. It was like having two sets of parents, Cousin Ann and Bob would spoil me and my parents would be the disciplinarians. Cousin Bob was always the instigator trying to get me to do things that would have me end up in trouble. I was okay with that because he was a great pusher on the swings. He would push me so hard that I thought I was going to loop around the support bar. It was in 1961 vacationing at Long Beach Island that Cousin Bob taught me how to fish from shore and I caught my first fish a sea robin. So if it was going out for Chinese food or to Nellie Bly amusement park or the Bronx Zoo, Cousin Ann and Bob left me with memories I will always cherish. Rest in peace Cousin Bob and thanks for the memories. Nick Brescia, Aka Zim

A 41 year relationship ended yesterday. Bob was my boss, mentor, friend, supplier, customer, sponsor and lastly my oldest friend. He always had a way of pushing my buttons or as he put it “pulling my chain”, to his never ending delight..... Like me, Bob had a lifelong battle to control his weight. You could always tell when he gave up on a diet. He would show up in the office with big bags of rolls, Danish and bagels. If he couldn’t lose weight, nobody was going to lose weight..... I continued to learn from Bob almost until the day he died. In his last years, by the example of how to fight the good fight. Bob is the person that had the most impact on my adult life. There is a hole In my heart with his passing..... Lou Coronato.... P.S. Bob could never spell my name.
