Obituary of Mary Catherine Blish
Mary Catherine Blish, 84 of Manchester died Monday, April 17th.
Mrs. Blish was born in the Bronx, NY and lived in Aberdeen from 1963 until 2005, when she and her husband moved to Manchester. She was a former parishioner of St. Benedict R.C. Church, Holmdel. Mrs. Blish was an active volunteer for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Long Branch.
Mrs. Blish was elected several terms as a member of the Aberdeen Republican Committee. Her great joy and interests were her family and friends.
Mary Catherine was pre-deceased by her husband, Otis Robert Blish in 2011 and her grandson, David Blish, Jr. in 2008.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline and her husband Alex Greenberg, Aberdeen, Robert B. Blish and his wife Jody, Aberdeen, John Blish, Manchester, Thomas Blish and his wife Jeannie, Florida and David Blish and his wife Jennifer, Monroe Twp. Mary Catherine is also survived by her sister Jacqueline Maxwell and her husband Richard, Clearwater, Fla. and her brother Emmet Creamer and his wife Donna, Weston, Ct.; her grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, Brendan, Jeannette, Catherine, Nicolas and Riley.
Visitation Wednesday April 19th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, April 20th, 11:30 am, St. Benedict RC Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Green Grove Cemetery, Keyport.
