Obituary of Carol Ann Vullo
Carol Ann Vullo, 65, of Holmdel, passed away on Sunday, March 26th.
Born in Brooklyn, she moved to Holmdel in 1985 with her husband Peter Vullo, where they have lived for over thirty years. Carol played a paramount role at the Church of St. Catharine in Holmdel. She was a founder and director of the preschool program for over twenty years, an avid volunteer, and was involved in church communications. Carol was a generous and loving person with a spirit to fight for others. She was devoted to her work and to the people she helped on a daily basis. She will be dearly missed and remembered as being a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, George Shashaty and Ann Elizabeth Shashaty.
Surviving is her husband, Peter Vullo, of Holmdel; her daughters, Christina Longo and her husband Thomas, of Durham, NC, Cara Montoni and her husband Steven, of Hoboken; her grandchildren Madeleine, Mark and Andrew Longo; and her brothers, James, George, and John Shashaty
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 from 2-4PM and 7-9 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Rd, Holmdel. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered 9:15AM at Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Rd., Holmdel. Entombment will be at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum. Donations can be made in Carol’s name to the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul at Saint Catharine’s and to Project Paul in Keansburg online at www.projpaul.org.
