Father Anderson was a very bright man and someone who I respected in all the years I knew him at St. Benedict's. He was down to earth, giving support and common sense advice as well as being someone with whom you could have an ordinary conversation. He certainly left an impression on all who knew him and his presence will be greatly missed.

We will always remember the wonderful years with Father Anderson as our pastor, his extraordinary influence of the entire parish, and his kindness to our family. We will miss him terribly, but we are thankful that he is well at last.

I was saddend to hear of father Anderson's passing. We served our respective congregations as young clergy and soon developed both a personal friendship and a much valued relationship between Temple Shalom of Aberdeen and Saint Benedict of Holmdel, lasting three decades. I shall treasure the memories of our shared dialogues, shared Passover Seders and joint brotherhood services. He will be remebered as a loving man of harmony and peace.

Fr Anderson was the guiding force at St Ben's in the 70s who made it a dynamic, caring and spiritual church. After all these years, I remember some of his homilies which today still guide my ways. Heaven is a better place with him there.

We at St. Mary's were blessed to have Fr. Anderson with us the past few years. He was a good man, a wonderful priest and an excellent homilist. We've been missing him since he got sick and will never forget him. To quote him: "The best is yet to come". You have earned your eternal reward, dear Father. With love, Ann Marie Dayton

My sincere condolences to the Anderson family. Having grown up at St. Benedict's in the 70's and 80's as a student, parishoner and altar girl, I have fond memories of Fr. Anderson. What a wonderful, loving man. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Fr. Anderson was such a positive influence in our family's life. He performed the marriage of our daughter Laura to Barry Gemperline over 26 years ago. I made the vestments for him and the banners and alter clothes. He also baptized our oldest grandaughter Rachael Gemperline. I remember the day he opened the church for the students at St. John Vianney during the evacuation of the school on a very cold day. He was caring and supportive priest who cared about the poor in the world. I will always remember him. Virginia Laudano and family

We are trying to follow your example by building community in our current Church of the Nativity here in Bartlett, TN. May you rest in peace with God and His Holy Family forever. Best regards,

Father Anderson will always be remembered by the Marianites of Holy Cross who ministered with him at St Benedict's for many years. He will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor and the many laughs we had with him when he came to the convent for dinner. I am sure that the Guardian Angels led him right into Paradise.
