Obituary of Herbert Arthur Spray
Herbert Arthur Spray, Jr. 91, of Whiting died Saturday at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mr. Spray was a graduate of Rutgers University and the Newark College of Engineering. He served honorably in the U.S. Army serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Senior Project Engineer and Planner from Pile and Foundation Construction Company. Prior to that he was a Vice -President of Irving Trust and Newsweek Magazine. Mr. Spray was born in Port Chester, NY and had lived in Holmdel, Fair Haven and Forked River before moving to Whiting. He was pre-deceased by his wife Mitzie Spray and his sister, Jane Lewis. Surviving is his wife, Marjorie Spray; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Joan Spray, Brian Spray; two daughters and a son-in-law, Claudia and Bobby Cilona and Patricia Spray; two sisters, Marcia Walters and Gerri Bell; 3 grandchildren, Brian and Sean Jones and Brian Spray, Jr. ; and two great grandchildren, Anthony and Addison Jones. Graveside services Thursday, February 18th, 11 am, Holmdel Mausoleum, corner of Holmdel Road and Roberts Road.
