Obituary of Luis Menconi
Luis Menconi, 79 of Monroe, NJ, entered into eternal peace on July 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Luis was born in San Fernando, Argentina on October 13, 1936, to the late Francisco and Vincenza Menconi. Luis was the beloved husband and best friend to Laura, his one and only love of 49 years. He was also devoted to his two loving daughters Sandra Menconi Soles and her husband David of New Egypt and Ivonne Moldaver and her husband Edward of Colts Neck. Together, they have six grandchildren, Kayla, Jamie, and Matthew Soles and Jenna, Danny, and Nicholas Moldaver. He is also survived by his brother, Tomas, and family of Florida. Luis spent his time in Argentina raising and training homing pigeons, boating, and playing soccer. At the age of 16, he supported his family after the loss of his father. He arrived in the United States in 1959 and enlisted in the Army where he completed his education and served his new country proudly. Luis was the owner and proprietor of his catering company for many years in Edison. Upon retirement, he became a school bus driver. He was an avid soccer fan who always rooted for his home country’s team, Argentina. Above all, Luis treasured each moment with his family. There was nowhere he’d rather be than beside the people he loved. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of all who loved him.
