Obituary of Rosemarie V. Szilasi
Rosemarie V. Szilasi, 68, of Holmdel, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ. Mrs. Szilasi was born in Clifton, NJ and resided in Holmdel since 1985. She received a bachelors degree from Montclair State University and a masters from Georgian Court University. Rosemarie loved teaching and taught French at Ramsey High School and ran Noah's Ark Day School in South Jersey. She was part of the Holmdel community for nearly 30 years and was extremely active with the Newcomers & Neighbors women's club as a board member and as their president. Rosemarie lived in London, UK for 11 years and was the president of the London chapter of the American Women's Club and received their Board of Directors Award in 1999. She taught religious education at St. Catharine's Parish in Holmdel and just graduated her 1st grade class. She was predeceased by her parents James & Rose Ricciardi. Surviving are her husband William, a son William and his wife Sandra. Two brothers, James and Daniel Ricciardi and a grandson, William Szilasi. Visitation at The Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ on Monday July 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass 9:00 am Tuesday, July 12th at St. Catharine's R.C.
