Obituary of Ronald Michael Maslo
Ronald Michael Maslo, 71 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 9, 2011 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Ron was born on October 13, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of Anna and Victor Maslo. He grew up in Linden, NJ and graduated from Linden High School in 1957. Ron received a BA in Mathematics/Physics from Allegheny College in 1961; a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Columbia University in 1962 and a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from California-Western University in 1982. Ron resided in Holmdel, NJ for 20 years before moving to Oceanport, NJ in 2007.Ron was deeply committed to a number of organizations throughout his life. In his youth he earned the Eagle Scout with Bronze, Gold and Silver Palms. As an adult he continued in scouting earning the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to scouting. In his later years Ron joined other brethren earning Masonic honors such as coroneted 33rd degree Sovereign Grand Inspector General Ron is survived by his wife, Kathy for 43 years; daughters Christine Weighell and Karen Paglia; sons-in-law John Weighell, Jr. and Christopher Paglia. Ron has four grandchildren; Abigail Weighell, Austin, Allison and Ryan Paglia.
