Assistant Scoutmaster - Troop 110 - for 16 years ROBERT H. HAYES, 66, of Colts Neck NJ passed away on Thursday November 18th, 2010 at Monmouth Medical Center, in Long Branch, NJ. Mr. Hayes was the founder and CEO of Haygro Sales Inc., Farmingdale, NJ. Born in Hanover, Pa. he lived in Rumson before moving to Colts Neck 25 years ago. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Holmdel. He was a graduate of Penn State University receiving a BA in General Arts and Sciences. He was a U.S.Navy veteran serving two tours of duty in Viet Nam and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was active in the Boy Scouts for 23 years , and was an Assistant Scoutmaster for 16 years with Troop 110 in Lincroft, NJ. Mr. Hayes was predeceased by his wife Phyllis in 2008. Surviving are two sons Brandon Hayes DVM of Upland, CA., and Bradley Hayes of New Haven, Conn., and a sister Kathryn Reuter of California. Visitation will be on Sunday November 21st from 1:00 to 5:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 - South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ.
