Vincenzo Cereste 89, of Middletown passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Care One Nursing Home in Holmdel. Born in Washington, PA Vincenzo moved to Ortona, Italy at the age of 2 with his family. After returning to the US, he resided with his wife Josephine in Newark prior to moving to Middletown. Mr. Cersete worked as a Foreman for the Archdiocese of Newark-Catholic Cemeteries in Holy Sepilchre Cemetery in East Orange. Surviving is his wife of 56 years Josephine Cereste (nee Pace), son Daniel Cereste, daughter Valerie Vanderstreet and her husband Bill, grandson Frank Vanderstreet, and 1 brother and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 11:30AM at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church in Lincroft. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange.
