Hallie Lucille Gardner-age 83, of Colts Neck, NJ, passed away November 16, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Trotville, NC. Hallie was a long-time member and volunteer of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her life-long love and husband, James S. Gardner, nicknamed her 'Magnolia' because she was a charming southern beauty. Hallie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, always putting others before herself. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. Everyone she met left with the feeling that they were the most important person in the world. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. Hallie especially enjoyed spending time with her nine grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James S. Gardner, daughters Hallie E. Gardner, Kelly H. Lutz, whose husband William is deceased, Carrie A. Coan and husband Michael, son, James P. Gardner and fiancée Cristi Harris, and nine loving grandchildren who adored her. Also missing her is her brother, Maurice Trotman. Family will receive guests at the Holmdel Funeral Home on Sunday, November 22nd from 2:00-5:00 pm. There will be a mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colts Neck, Monday, November 23rd at 10:30. Burial will be private.
