I met Jim Hamill twenty-nine years ago when I first met my friend, Fran. Jim was truly a gentle man, kind, generous, supporting every charity he believed in. He loved his family and often shared stories about his life, being an only child, and his stories about the businesses he was involved in. Of course, Fran and I spent more time together, but over the years, my husband, Tom, and Jim became friends, sharing their interests in woodworking, gardening, the outdoors. Just about every Friday night, the four of us would have dinner together which were always good times, lots of jokes, good food, followed by a glass or two of port for the guys either at our house or theirs. Of course, I still have my friend, Fran, whom I hope I can help through this very difficult time, but we, Tom and I, have wonderful memories of a dear man who would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone. Rest in peace, Jim. You are loved!
