Ana Rodriguez, age 100 of Holmdel, passed in peace at home Saturday, May 21, 2016. Ana arrived from Cuba with her husband in March of 1970 where she lived in Middletown for eight years before settling in Holmdel in 1978. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Ana always put others before herself. Known by all as “Abuela Ana”, she was the matriarch of her family whose strength and wisdom encouraged others to enjoy life and always be their best. Continually surrounded by her loving family and friends, she especially enjoyed spending time with her three great-grandchildren. Ana is predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Pedro “Eve”. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Arminda and Martin Cid, granddaughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Robert Schwartz, granddaughter and son-in-law, Aileen and Duane Porter, and great-grandsons, Ernest Ageitos and Wayne and Cid Porter. Visitation Tuesday, May 24th 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 25th at 9:15 AM at Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment to follow in Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
