Obituary of Albert B. Gerrity
ALBERT B. GERRITY, 88, of Holmdel passed away on December 11th, 2010. Mr. Gerrity was born in Scranton, PA., and resided in Holmdel NJ for 55 years. He was a graduate of Fordham University, where he earned a Bachelor Science Degree. He served in the U.S.Army during World War II in the ETO with the 71st Infantry Division. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the EAME Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Gerrity was a Chemist. He was employed by the Pennwalt Corp. of Belleville, NJ. He was a co-owner of several patents while working at Pennwalt. He was predeceased by his parents Albert Michael and Marion Gerrity, his stepfather James Quinn, and his sister Ann Keenan. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Geraldine (nee McMurray), his sons, A. Michael Gerrity, Richard and his wife, MaryAnn, Thomas and his wife, Maureen, and James and his wife, Donna, by his daughter Mary Ellen Steinhauer, and by his nine grandchildren.
